I was skeptical at first but went ahead to experiment anyway. Even though I love the flavor of jalapeños, I cannot handle too much spice!
And you might think this soup is spicy but it has a mild to medium spice level. This is largely due to the fact that I removed the seeds and ribs from the jalapeños.

The protein from the chicken and the beans make it very filling. For a vegetarian option, you can skip the chicken as the beans will make up for the protein. Beans are a good source of fibre and soups are a great way to add more beans to your diet.
